They sell online and offer their laboratory supplies to scientists, research personnel, and research facilities. Southern Labware has been able to bridge the gaps that today’s scientists face: parts not stocked locally, finding local supplier and equipment, and most important – TIME.
The Southern Labware approached TheCommerceShop to migrate from Magento 1.7 to Magento 2. Over the years, the Southern Labware site had performed excellently on the Magento platform and recognizing the need to migrate the existing store from 1.7. Open Source edition to Magento 2, the team from Southern Labware approached us looking for Magento professionals.
The latest Magento platform is not just an upgrade, but it comes packing new technologies and methodologies for delivering enhanced shopping and store experience. On the contrary, the transition from M1 to M2 is not an easy and trouble-free process. The migration process involves a lot of manual work that needs to be done by professionals who understand the entire migration process.
Southern Labware had clarity on what they craved for their future. They aimed to migrate to Magento 2 to suit-up the latest modular architecture to ensure faster add-to-cart server response time, end-to-end checkout time, and faster page load time. The key to a smooth migration from M1 to M2 lies in the perfect preparation. This approach helps in transferring everything without a loss of traffic or ranking. Besides migrating correctly, precautionary steps were taken to prevent redirect errors. With all the groundwork completed without any slag, we got ready to move to the next level.
