Our client is one of the most sought-after designer kitchenware and home decor manufacturers preferred for having some of the most celebrated Italian designers onboard.

The Problem

Being a popular brand for home decors, our client had a healthy customer base but the eCommerce website was not mobile-ready which denied the brand a great deal of mobile -frenzy shopping crowd.

Existing customers were finding it difficult to shop via mobile which made a dent in the customer experience quotient of the brand across multiple touchpoints.

Owing to an unorganized sitemap, the website witnessed 2000+ crawl errors. Adding to this, the dynamically created web pages were not getting indexed by search engines prohibiting online visibility and keyword ranking in SERPs.

Besides these changes, the client wanted a custom development solution to get their customer reviews and testimonials featured on Google SERPs. Additionally, the brand wanted to garner maximum reach for its live event by streaming it for website visitors.

From Web-Only To Mobile-Ready

Our UI/UX designers took over the job of turning the website responsive. Every pixel was turned responsive to make the website adaptive towards all screen sizes contributing to a uniform experience on all mobile devices.

Sitemap Cleanup

The sitemap issue was rectified by enabling a dynamic sitemap which automatically creates a sitemap for dynamic web pages like product detail pages. The outdated pages were excluded from sitemap by adding exceptions. This clean up created a hiccup-free search engine indexing.

Custom Development

In order to make user ratings and reviews for products available in SERPs, Magento developers at TheCommerceShop developed a custom extension. The extension mediated the job of showcasing ratings alongside products when they appear in search result pages.
